Montana among top states for personal income growth
MONTANA — Montana is not only one of the most beautiful of the contiguous states, it’s also one of the best places for individuals to grow financially. While no one has quite mastered the trick of growing money on trees in Montana, the Bureau of Economic Analysis says residents of Montana ranked in the top five of the nation in personal income growth starting in the last quarter of 2014 with an upward trend.
Not only does Montana rank in the top five nationally, but the state significantly outpaced all four of its neighboring states. According to the study, the most significant factor in this growth is new jobs and eager employees to fill them, putting more money into their pockets as well as back into the state’s economy. Neighboring North and South Dakota, Wyoming and Idaho are growing, but not at nearly the pace.
