Now hiring: Montana’s Yellowstone County

BILLINGS, Mont. – Great news for the residents of Montana has put some employers there in a bit of a pickle. The unemployment rate in greater Yellowstone County has fallen to an all-time low of 3.5 percent – considered full employment. This leaves employers without the pool of job-seekers it is accustomed to.

It’s a job-seeker’s market, and employers are rising to the task of hiring qualified workers with methods they haven’t used in some times, including general employers using “Now Hiring” banners to signify the available jobs.

Employers seeking skilled laborers are using incentives such as signing bonuses to lure potential candidates, who have their pick of places to work. Opportunities for skilled labor generates more intense interest as there are many employers seeking candidates with specialized skills.
